Finally got my air conditioner fixed after about 2 years and 1 auto A/C shop and 1 general auto repair shop later. One shop just topped off the coolant no charge. The other shop tried looking for leaks and added coolant but no repair was done. Waipio Auto Repair finally found the problem and changed out the compressor. I wanted everything that would make the A/C system run and last like a new car. So they changed out the Condenser too. Ahhh, really cold air again that is going to last longer than 8 months. I also needed the washer nozzles fixed. They were replaced and they work great now too. No streams of water shooting everywhere but the windshield anymore. They also checked if the general maintenance needed to be done. Oil change and general maintenance was done also. Thanks Luzcille et al for fixing and taking care of my Hyundai Sonata.

My van did not pass the safety inspection because of a leaking end boot. I made an appointment with Waipio Auto and they took me in within a few days. They inspected the van and gave me an estimate. During the repair, they kept me updated as to what the status of the van was and how soon they would finish the job. They replaced my stabilizer bar link, tie rod boot, axle shaft, and had an alignment done (all this was done in a day and a half). They are professional and friendly. I won't take my van to anyone else. I highly recommend them.

I can not say enough about this place!! You guys!! I am so happy I used them. I have a truck that needed to have fuel injectors replaced. Due to the location of the fuel injectors, it is a complicated repair. I brought my truck to Waipio auto and I am so happy I did! Luzcille is the BEST when it comes to communication and customer service!!! Jesse the head mechanic is amazing! He is so thorough and so honest! They work deliberately to produce QUALITY work!! When they disassemble your vehicle parts, they make sure to not only put it back; they make sure that the seals are replaced and that the vehicle is in complete operation and safe to drive. 5 Stars+ we originally picked Waipio Auto Repair based on reviews and their prompt follow up from their online submission. We had to get an estimate for a used car we just purchased. They were thorough and professional. When we needed additional work done we didn't hesitate to go back knowing they were honest and made us feel valued with follow up communication after our first service. The second visit was more than we had planned on needing done and Luzcille was AMAZING!!!!! She walked me through alternate options if available and explained everything sometimes twice when I had questions. We moved to town recently, but she makes the drive to Waipio worth it. I stumbled across this place on Yelp when my usual spot didn't take me in as a walk-in. I was ecstatic to know that they could take my car in for an oil change immediately... especially since I was only right down the road. It was quick and painless. I drove up, wrote my info down, sat on a chair they provided in the shade, and waited about 45 minutes. When it was done, they called me over and quoted me on other things they noticed about the car that might need attention to (just in case). After months of searching for a reliable auto repair shop, I'm so glad I found Waipio Auto Repair. It's close to my home and reasonably priced.

I made an appointment online and Ray responded right away. My oil change and tire rotation was quick. He even offered me a chair while I waited. A couple days after the service, I received a follow up text, just to see how my car was running and making sure everything was going well. That's awesome customer service!

I bought the Cat Shield and was looking for a installer. They gave me 2 shops who is authorized for the installation on Oahu. Waipio auto repair is one of them. And since im closer to them and didnt want to drive in town i called them. Ray answered and was very polite and informative of the installation. He said he had an opening the next day. I told him shoots.

On arrival i was instructed on where the office was and Ray was waiting for me. He was very professional as he was on the phone. Told me how long the install was gonna take and they shouldnt run into any problems. For they installed cat shields on Tacoma's before.

After installation he showed me their work and told me that was a smart buy with everything going on with cat thefts.

Im a pro active person. I dont wanna buy the cat shield after mine gets stolen. So i bought it before anything happens.

And.....it looks super cooooool!! Im glad i paid extra for powder coating.

My Suburban had some issues with the breaks and the front axle. They quickly found the issues, gave me a no BS quote, and got right to work. The brakes went out on my truck and luckily I was near this shop. They fixed the problem and got me back on the road the same day! They went out of their way to save me money by taking considerable time to free up the rusted bleeder screws and just changing those screws ($5)instead of doing the quick and easy thing and ordering new calipers ($180). They advised me of potential problems that may need attention in relation to the problem I came in for but didn't steer me or try to scare me in to making those repairs immediately. I appreciate the integrity of this shop!

They are absolutely awesome! My car decided to die on the freeway and at closer inspection my coolant was completely bone dry. After having someone bring me more and driving it home I saw that it was leaking. We called and Waipio Auto Repair was able to see us same day. We worked with Ray and he walked us through what was wrong, the parts we needed, and talked us through the causes and options we had so we could understand what we were getting charged and which option was cheapest for us while also fixing gun the problem. They were extremely nice, honest, and willing to walk you through the issue, and worked hard to get us car back same day. I was looking for a place to fix my brakes as it started grinded I knew it was gonna be an expensive job to do and I wanted to go to a local company. And I'm glad I did because the quote that was given to me was still cheaper than next Lex Brody! I worked with Ray. He was very straight forward and friendly, no BS. They checked my brakes and was able to immediately give me a quote to replace my brakes and rotors. Then I had my own personal issues of coming up with the money but they were patient and when a call back 2 weeks later they did the full job the next day! He even checked my oil bc he noticed the light was on, called me to ask if I wanted the oil change--and he did that too. Finished the job 2 hours before promised! Professional! Reasonable pricing and Local!

*We also got talking about ginger flowers and one of the mechanic gave me some started to make my own! Not his job -- he went up and beyond! Much appreciated as I will grow ginger flowers to place with my Dad!

My 2016 Tacoma brake pressure was really low and my ABS light came on. I really needed a quick quote and estimate and that's exactly what I got. When I called I was immediately greeted with excellent customer service. Ray and I discussed the game plan and it went smooth. Dropped the truck off on a Tuesday and he said he would need to do a diagnosis. The next day I get a call in the morning and he already has everything ready to go; (price, what parts need to be changed w/explanations). Multiple reasons why I gave 5 stars is because he asked me for the green light to work on the truck. I've noticed some shops just go ahead and do the work with out your permission, so that's another added customer for you guys! Another reason is they did the repair in a couple of hours compared to it being a couple of days. So I will be back for sure whenever I have mechanical problems. Thanks again guys!

I needed to get a same day pre-purchase inspection done on a used car that I was looking to buy in a private sale. I called a few shops as soon as they opened in the morning and no one could fit me in same day except for Waipio Auto Repair. I'm glad that's how it worked out because I found a shop I can trust. Ray looked at my future Honda Fit, giving it a relatively clean bill of health that I hoped for, with the exception of two recommendations that he said could wait a month or two. There was no pressure to get any work done that day, and no push for me to bring the car back to this shop in particular, but that's what I will be doing because I appreciate the way they do business here. They don't have as many reviews as some other shops, so I wanted to be sure to tell of my good experience so that others feel more comfortable giving this place a shot.

I took my SUV be serviced somewhere else. They found that my alternator need to be replaced. They gave me the price and I decided to wait till I had the funds. I searched on Yelp to see if there was any place else that would do quality work and wouldn't just take my money. I found Waipio Auto Repair. I asked for a quote and the owner (Luzcille) emailed me back relatively quick. Her quote saved me $500. I made an appointment. The morning of my appointment, I dropped my vehicle off. The owner and technicians were very customer service oriented. Luzcille gave me a call because they had some questions regarding the alternator. She was very accommodating and I was able to email her what the other repair shop had said regarding it. Pick up was also a breeze. It was truly a 5 star experience. My SUV drives a whole lot better.
